Frequently Asked Questions
What is the first step in the buying process?
A crucial first step in purchasing a new home is obtaining pre-approval for a loan. Once the preapproval process is complete, a homebuyer can ascertain how much money they need to bring to the closing table and determine a comfortable monthly payment to establish a reasonable price range.
We would like to build a home, how long is the building process?
The duration of the construction period can vary based on the size of your new home and features. On average construction time is 4 - 5 months.
Can I customize the floor plan?
Our architects design beautiful homes that are specifically created for each geographic area. We consider factors such as local style, preferences, topography, and market limitations. RW Home offers multiple floor plans to choose from with a wide range of options and color selections to personalize various spaces throughout your home. These high-quality customizations and finishes allow you to make your home truly unique.
How often do we receive check-ins?
The RW Home team does its best to check in with the home buyer to provide them with updates during the building process. If any major changes occur regarding the timeline, we will communicate with the home buyer as soon as we have all of the details.
What type of payment do you accept for earnest money/builder deposit?
You can easily pay your earnest money or builder deposit with a check when you sign the contract. If you prefer, you can also pay online using a debit card or e-check—just let your realtor know so they can keep an eye out for it.
Does RW Home cooperate with real estate agents?
Yes! Although you do not need a real estate agent to purchase one of our homes, you are welcome to work with a real estate agent of your choice. We will even pay your agent so you don't have to! This allows you to save money for out-of-pocket expenses such as downpayment and closing costs. *While we typically pay buyer agents a competitive, market-rate fee for new construction, please have your agent contact our sales team for more information as compensation amounts sometimes vary.
